THE OPPORTUNITY:

Arbutus Search Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing recruitment and search consulting team. This role focuses on new business development, expanding relationships with existing clients, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate is inherently driven and creates a fast-paced environment around them moving projects forward with purpose.

You build rapport quickly on the phone and over email through an open and honest approach and excel at building lasting relationships. You enjoy helping others and have the flexibility to contribute in whatever way necessary to address bottlenecks in the sales process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in B2B sales and business development ideally in a recruitment, staffing, or related services environment. Software sales experience will also be considered.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets primarily focused on new business development.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and step into an account management role as needed.
  • A self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills. You must be a person that likes to pay attention to the details.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and recruitment platforms is a strong asset, specifically LinkedIn, Hubspot etc.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

New Business Development

  • Proactively identify and target potential clients in key industries to generate new revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Research and connect with decision-makers to understand hiring needs and position the firm as a trusted partner.

Client Relationship Management

  • Deepen relationships with existing clients and position ourselves as their go-to Recruitment Agency vendor.
  • Partner with clients to anticipate workforce challenges and propose tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and ensure a seamless experience to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Revenue Generation

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by securing new job requisitions from both new and existing clients.
  • Track and manage the sales pipeline using the newest CRM tools and technology to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Negotiate terms of business and service agreements in a win-win outcome with clients.

Recruitment Support

  • Step in as a recruiter from time to time when necessary to source, screen, and present candidates for high-priority or time-sensitive roles.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to address bottlenecks and meet client expectations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of recruitment best practices, industry trends, and candidate sourcing techniques.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the latest employment and industry trends that affect our prospective and existing clients. 

Collaboration and Strategy

  • Work closely with recruitment consultants and leadership to align sales activities with business goals.
  • Provide feedback to improve service offerings and address client pain points.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and client meetings to represent the firm and build the brand.

COMPENSATION:

  • $50,000 – $60,000 annual base salary.
  • Commissions on sales.
