THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a CNC Technical Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, operator training programs, preventative maintenance schedules, and quality control processes for all CNC operations within our client’s facility. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and timely execution of CNC activities, while driving consistency through the creation and enforcement of division-wide policies and procedures.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Serving as the in-house expert on CNC machinery at the facility.
  • Overseeing CNC machine operators across all shifts to ensure proper operation, safety, and product quality.
  • Leading operator training, overseeing daily operations, and managing safety protocols and material quality at each machine center.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining processes that promote a safe work environment, high product accuracy, and a strong quality assurance program.
  • Supporting plant-wide goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with Plant Managers, Design and Engineering teams, and Project Managers to ensure deliveries are meeting customer requirements.
  • Training CNC operators and support staff to ensure consistency in skills and operational standards.
  • Coordinating with Plant Maintenance Managers and CNC operators to schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Managing critical spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.
  • Ordering and maintaining all necessary tooling for operations.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing improvements to departmental processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Preparing required reports and correspondence.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the department budget, while managing expenses within approved limits.
  • Identifying, documenting, and executing opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assigning duties and monitoring work quality to ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing daily guidance and oversight to staff, while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Staying informed on team activities, identifying problem areas, and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent background.
  • Advanced proficiency in Hundegger (Cambium) and Uniteam programming.
  • Proven ability to supervise, lead, and motivate team members effectively.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of tasks and responsibilities performed by subordinates.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting workloads.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a positive attitude toward changing priorities.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within teams and committees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and sound business judgment.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely and well-informed decisions.
  • Understanding of all applicable safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical labor as required.

COMPENSATION:

  • $35 – 45 USD/hr
