THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking an experienced EIC Engineer Lead to join a dynamic team delivering engineering and automation solutions to industrial clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing EIC systems while ensuring compliance with current electrical codes and standards. With a fast-paced environment and diverse client applications, this position offers exciting challenges and opportunities to work on innovative projects under tight deadlines. Work will be conducted both in the office and at client sites as needed.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Leading the technical execution, quality assurance, and overall success of each project.
- Optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of personnel assigned to projects.
- Supporting project management processes to ensure objectives and timelines are met.
- Mentoring and coaching team members on technical execution and project workflows.
- Review EIC systems designs for both greenfield and existing industrial applications.
- Utilizing engineering tools and software to validate electrical systems.
- Modifying design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Preparing technical documentation to support designs, work plans, and completed tasks.
- Overseeing and/or conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in-office or at client sites, following established test plans.
- Supervising and performing commissioning services at client sites as needed, including work outside standard hours, such as evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Maintaining clear and proactive communication with clients to ensure project alignment with objectives and the company’s best interests.
- Traveling to client sites for meetings, inspections, and project execution as required.
- Managing time allocations effectively and providing feedback to project managers.
- Providing work effort estimates to management.
- Submitting timesheets and work comments weekly in accordance with management deadlines.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia or Ontario (Preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in electrical/controls engineering or industrial applications.
- Proficiency in EPLAN (Plus), AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office, and industrial machine design.
- Familiarity with power distribution systems up to 4160V is an asset. A bit of 208V and under is an asset.
- MCC and VFD will be a plus but not required.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Experience with industrial electrical and automation systems is an asset.
- Willingness to travel as needed (10% maximum average).
COMPENSATION: $110k to $130k
