THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a talented EIC Engineer Lead to join the team of one of North America’s premier Automation and Control Systems Integrators.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing EIC systems tailored to clients’ evolving applications and technologies. Come demonstrate your skills in this position that offers a challenging and dynamic environment. Your work will be guided by client parameters, needs, and expectations, ensuring compliance with current electrical codes and requirements. Work will be carried out either in-office or in the field at the client’s location, as needed.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Supporting project management processes and overseeing technical execution, quality, and success of projects.
- Coaching and mentoring employees in technical execution and project processes, ensuring employee efficiency.
- Designing EIC for greenfield and existing industrial applications.
- Validating electrical systems using standard engineering tools and software.
- Creating and modifying design drawings with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Writing technical documentation for design activities and work plans.
- Supervising and performing FAT testing in-office or client site per documented test plan.
- Conducting supervision and commissioning services at client sites, including after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Communicating project progress effectively with clients, aligning with project goals and the organization’s interest.
- Traveling to client sites for meetings or work as required.
- Managing time allocations efficiently, meeting deadlines, and providing feedback to project managers.
- Estimating time for work to be performed for management.
- Entering work hours and comments into the timesheet program weekly and on time.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Registration or eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) with good standing.
- 5+ years of current and relevant professional experience.
- Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA, NEC, and other industry standards & requirements pertaining to electrical systems and safety.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
COMPENSATION:
- $110k to $130k based on experience, $20k bonus based on performance.
