We are looking for a talented EIC Engineer Lead to join the team of one of North America’s premier Automation and Control Systems Integrators.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control) systems tailored to clients’ evolving applications and technologies. Your work will be guided by client parameters, needs, and expectations, ensuring compliance with current electrical codes and requirements. Work will be carried out either in-office or in the field at the client’s location, as needed.

  • Supporting the project management process by overseeing the technical execution, employee efficiency, quality, and success of each project.
  • Providing coaching and mentorship to employees regarding technical execution and project processes.
  • Designing EIC for greenfield and existing industrial applications.
  • Validating electrical systems with the use of standard engineering tools and software.
  • Producing and modifying design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving engineering and design deliverables, including medium & low voltage power distribution single line diagrams, power & control schemes, equipment & cable tray layouts, cable schedules, cable & conduit routings, lightning, and lighting layouts.
  • Drafting technical documentation to support design activities and document work plans and performance.
  • Developing equipment & instrument list, motor list, and cable schedule, selecting appropriate type per customer requirements, company standards, and equipment specifications.
  • Supervising and performing FAT testing to a documented test plan in-office or onsite.
  • Interpreting specifications, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements, and providing feedback regarding necessary procedure changes.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving engineering specifications, commissioning plans, and technical bid evaluations for electrical equipment.
  • Performing supervision and commissioning services onsite as needed per the commissioning schedule which will require work to be completed after hours, on weekends, and on statutory holidays from time to time.
  • Effectively communicating with clients regarding project progress.
  • Traveling to client sites in other cities for meetings or to perform work as required.
  • Providing time estimates to management for work that will be performed, allocating time for tasks efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing feedback to project managers.
  • Entering work hours and comments into the timesheet program each week per management deadlines.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in the US. 
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 5+ years of current and relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA, NEC, and other industry standards & requirements pertaining to electrical systems and safety.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.


  • $110k – 120k CAD, annually.
