PE in Alabama or another State that could stamp an Alabama drawing is needed.

Our client is one of North America’s BEST industrial Automation integrators and they are looking for an Electrical and Controls Engineer PE, a permanent position, to join their team of talented engineers to ensure the technical execution, quality, and success of the EIC system design and programming for an initial project of 3-4 weeks duration with other projects following after, mostly in Alabama, near Dothan. As part of the team, you will work on reviewing their Power designs and sealing them for 3 machines initially, adapting to evolving client technologies and requirements while ensuring compliance with electrical codes and standards.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Design and validate EIC systems for industrial applications using AutoCAD and engineering tools.
- Develop control panel layouts, BOMs, electrical schematics, and safety systems per UL508A and CEC standards.
- Create PLC IO lists, network topology, and single-line diagrams while ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
- Size circuit breakers, cables, and VFDs, and perform load demand calculations.
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure designs meet client specifications and company standards.
- Collaborate with fabrication shops, contractors, and clients to review designs and provide feedback.
- Stamp and seal drawings for 3 machines; no on-site visits are required for this contract.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Professional Engineer designation (PE) for the state of Alabama of another state able to stamp an Alabama drawing (Plus).
- 3+ years’ experience minimum in a role involving industrial machine design and electrical/control design.
- Experience with CAD software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing power distribution systems (120V to 15kV).
- Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell).
SALARY RANGE: $150K to $165K at the client’s discretion based on experience.
