THE OPPORTUNITY:

Join our client’s team as an IT Support Specialist at their new production site in NC, where you will be the go-to expert for all IT-related needs. Acting as the primary contact for employees, you will provide essential support in areas such as hardware, software, and network connectivity. In this role, you will also serve as the communication link between the production site and headquarters, delivering technical support, ensuring seamless IT operations, and driving innovative IT solutions to keep systems running smoothly.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Providing professional support for employees, handling 1st and 2nd level soft-/hardware requests, analyzing and efficiently addressing incoming issues, and keeping users informed with status updates.
  • Performing minor systems administration tasks such as creating/removing user IDs, managing basic computer operations, and implementing approved system security adjustments.
  • Monitoring system performance proactively, responding to alerts, and addressing issues as needed.
  • Updating and maintaining the Service Desk knowledge base (Wiki) with accurate classifications and information.
  • Planning and implementing IT applications in collaboration with local management and corporate IT.
  • Installing and configuring software and plugins on client servers/workstations.
  • Installing, modifying, and repairing IT equipment including label printers, hand scanners, mobile devices, etc.
  • Ensuring smooth IT operations and resolving performance issues to enhance onsite efficiency.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or an equivalent blend of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • 3+ years of IT support experience within a multi-site, WAN-connected enterprise.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including Windows OS 7/10/11, Active Directory, and Office 2016/365.
  • Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, LAN, and WIFI, including network diagnostics and troubleshooting tools.
  • Familiarity with smartphones and cellular devices.
  • Communicative and analytical approach, with a structured, independent work style and high adaptability.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and German language skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, or crawl.
  • Capable of frequently lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.

COMPENSATION:

  • $75,000 – 85,000 USD, annually.
