THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for an innovative and skilled sales professional to join our client’s team as a Mass Timber Sales Engineer. In this role, you will be the primary contact for customers, focusing on developing and maintaining relationships with clients and key figures in the commercial construction industry. Your work will play a crucial role in continuing to expand the company’s presence in the market as a leading mass timber supplier.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Developing a sales plan to meet quotas in the designated market, collaborating with estimating, engineering, and sales teams.
- Cultivating relationships with developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to position the company as the leading choice for mass timber projects.
- Partnering with installers and engineers to provide a complete design-supply-install mass timber package for projects.
- Attending trade shows, conferences, and local events, and participating in project interviews and plant tours.
- Conducting lunch-and-learn sessions and webinars to showcase the company’s mass timber solutions.
- Evaluating project leads and deciding which to pursue.
- Generating leads and preparing budgets during early design phases in consultation with the design team.
- Coordinating with estimating to provide formal quotes and presenting them to customers, identifying actionable items to finalize the order.
- Continuously updating ZOHO CRM.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills, including effective listening, writing, speaking, and presenting.
- Skilled at prioritizing critical requests among various demands.
- Comfortable making independent decisions and quick judgments as needed.
- Driven to succeed with a competitive edge, while collaborating effectively with a supportive team.
- Ability to think innovatively to position the company advantageously for project success.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
- 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
COMPENSATION:
- $80,000 – 100,000, plus commissions.
