Materials Handling Project Manager

Onsite, 5 Days/Week, 8 – 4 PM

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client is seeking a talented Materials Handling Project Manager to plan and manage site projects regarding the movement of cargo. This role is essential in ensuring projects are completed in a safe, effective, and environmentally conscious manner.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Communicating and coordinating with Maintenance, Operations, and other parties on site regarding all required work
• Promoting and maintaining culture of cooperation and excellence between Maintenance, Operations, Safety, and Engineering factions

• Providing effective project management in a heavily industrialized environment, demonstrating excellent safety practices
• Ensuring all projects and repairs meet company standards and deliverables are executed on time and within budget

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 + years’ in a planning/project management role
• Experience working onsite at construction sites overseeing teams and managing trades as a Foreman or Site Superintendent, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained
• Ability to engage and influence skilled trades, contractors, and subcontractors
• Experience working in a highly industrial environment (terminal experience will be an asset)
• Experience conducting third-party inspections in an industrial environment
• Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Related trade, technologist, or engineering certification or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Experience in material bulk loading/unloading or similar operation
