THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-impact projects while collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Project Planning:
    • Leading the full project lifecycle from design through production, commissioning, and delivery.
    • Developing detailed project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals and establish success criteria.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Leading and inspiring cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
    • Assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, and ensuring team members have the tools and resources needed for success.
    • Fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Resource Management:
    • Coordinating and allocating resources efficiently to support project outcomes.
    • Monitoring and managing project budgets, change orders, contract compliance, and client approvals.
  • Communication:
    • Acting as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders.
    • Providing consistent updates on project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
    • Facilitating clear communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensuring all project deliverables are meeting quality standards and aligning with requirements.
    • Implementing and enforcing best practices in project management.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
    • Addressing issues promptly to prevent delays or deviations from project plans.
  • Project Execution:
    • Overseeing daily project activities and ensuring adherence to timelines.
    • Taking corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Preparing and delivering regular project status reports to stakeholders.
    • Maintaining complete project documentation, including plans, schedules, and meeting records.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC.
  • 5+ years of proven project management experience with a successful delivery record.
  • PMP certification is required (however, candidates who are actively preparing to write the exam and can obtain certification within six months of hire will also be considered).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Planning, execution, and resource management, including budgeting.
  • Risk identification, mitigation, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Strong decision-making, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Effective stakeholder communication and professional English proficiency in spoken, written, and presentation settings.

COMPENSATION:

  • $110,000 to $130,000/year
