THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager for one of North America’s premier Automation and Control Systems Integrators, working specifically on an exciting project located in Southeast USA.

This role will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects on time and on budget. These projects will focus on terminal reliability and optimization and the nature of the work will include structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and field installation. Travel to the site in Alabama will be necessary for one week per month.

We are interested in someone who has a strong understanding of project management methodologies and a natural ease of communication. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define project objectives and develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
  • Leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and foster a collaborative and positive team environment by assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring the necessary resources are available to meet project goals.
  • Participating in conceptual design development.
  • Monitoring and managing project budgets, coordinating and allocating resources effectively to ensure project success, and identifying and mitigating risks proactively to make adjustments as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between project teams and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, and providing continuous updates on project progress, milestones, and potential roadblocks.
  • Supervising site commissioning and installation processes.
  • Implementing and enforcing best practices for project management, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with project requirements.
  • Proactively identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans to prevent project delays or deviations.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including project management and guidance.
  • Overseeing the daily activities of the project team, monitoring timelines, and taking corrective action as necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and meeting minutes, and preparing and presenting regular project status reports to stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, specifically mechanical or electrical.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • PE License in Alabama, or able to obtain an interim permit to practice in Alabama
  • Proven experience as a project manager with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain clear stakeholder communication.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, effectively planning and executing projects.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and managing resources.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, identifying and mitigating risks.

COMPENSATION: 

  • $100,000 – $135,000 USD, annually.
