YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Leading a team focused on designing efficient and reliable transmission and distribution lines.
- Acting as a technical project leader or manager, ensuring projects are being delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Developing engineering documents for line projects ranging from 5 kV to 765 kV.
- Creating PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models.
- Designing support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines.
- Overseeing inspections of existing lines and generating necessary reports.
- Supervising and ensuring the quality of work produced by engineers, technicians, and drafters.
- Preparing proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, plans, and specifications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in transmission and distribution lines
- Relevant structural engineering expertise
- Proficient in technical writing
- Familiarity with the PLS-CADD software suite
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Bilingualism in English and French will be an asset
