THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Intermediate Civil-Municipal Engineer to join a growing team working on a wide range of municipal infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with 8–15 years of experience who is motivated to design, manage, and deliver impactful solutions for public and institutional clients. You’ll work on pump stations, forcemains, sewer and water systems, PRV stations, and municipal facilities, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and providing mentorship to junior staff.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead and contribute to the design and construction of municipal infrastructure (pump stations, sanitary and storm sewers, water mains, forcemains, and PRV stations)
  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, including calculations, specifications, and tender packages
  • Deliver site-based services such as construction inspection, contract administration, and coordination with contractors and regulators
  • Conduct infrastructure condition assessments and technical investigations for water and wastewater systems
  • Serve as Engineer-of-Record on utility projects
  • Collaborate with CAD team members to produce design drawings
  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation
  • Participate in client and stakeholder meetings throughout planning, design, and construction phases
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to quality control across project delivery

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada
  • 8–15 years of post-graduation experience, including municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design
  • Proven experience in project management and project coordination
  • Strong technical, organizational, and report-writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Physically able to conduct field visits in varying conditions (outdoors, remote areas, uneven terrain, all weather)

COMPENSATION: $124,000 – $137,000 annually, dependent on years of experience, plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
