THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects from concept to completion. In this role, you will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of high-impact projects while collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the organization.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Project Planning:
- Leading the full project lifecycle from design through production, commissioning, and delivery.
- Developing detailed project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget requirements.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define project goals and establish success criteria.
- Team Leadership:
- Leading and inspiring cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Assigning responsibilities, setting priorities, and ensuring team members have the tools and resources needed for success.
- Fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinating and allocating resources efficiently to support project outcomes.
- Monitoring and managing project budgets, change orders, contract compliance, and client approvals.
- Communication:
- Acting as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders.
- Providing consistent updates on project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Facilitating clear communication within the team and with external partners.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensuring all project deliverables are meeting quality standards and aligning with requirements.
- Implementing and enforcing best practices in project management.
- Risk Management:
- Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
- Addressing issues promptly to prevent delays or deviations from project plans.
- Project Execution:
- Overseeing daily project activities and ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Taking corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Preparing and delivering regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Maintaining complete project documentation, including plans, schedules, and meeting records.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC.
- 5+ years of proven project management experience with a successful delivery record.
- PMP certification is required (however, candidates who are actively preparing to write the exam and can obtain certification within six months of hire will also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Planning, execution, and resource management, including budgeting.
- Risk identification, mitigation, and proactive problem-solving.
- Strong decision-making, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective stakeholder communication and professional English proficiency in spoken, written, and presentation settings.
COMPENSATION:
- $110,000 to $130,000/year
