THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established industrial organization seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who is passionate about building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing EHS programs, supporting incident prevention, leading audits and inspections, and helping create safe, healthy, and compliant workplaces across the organization.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Providing guidance to assigned business units on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) processes while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Serving as a trusted resource on OSHA reporting requirements and the proper classification of workplace incidents.
- Supporting incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify corrective and preventative actions.
- Assisting with the implementation and continuous improvement of OSHA programs and other EHS initiatives.
- Coordinating and leading OSHA and EPA inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Partnering with business units to strengthen EHS processes and drive continuous improvement across operations.
- Conducting regular site visits, inspections, and compliance audits, reporting findings and monitoring corrective action plans.
- Developing and delivering EHS training programs and educational materials to enhance employee awareness and compliance.
- Leading EHS communications and awareness initiatives that reinforce a strong safety culture.
- Supporting emergency preparedness, business continuity, crisis management, and pandemic response planning.
- Providing guidance on change management, hazard identification, risk assessment, and EHS strategic planning for assigned business units.
- Promoting and fostering a proactive, safety-first culture through employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and programs, including DOT requirements, OSHA Cooperative Programs, OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, workers’ compensation, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a major asset.
- Professional health and safety certification from a nationally recognized organization, such as the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
- Experience auditing, evaluating, and improving Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems.
- Experience developing and delivering health and safety training programs.
Skills & Abilities
- Able to conduct site inspections and safely carry inspection equipment as required.
- Comfortable working both in an office environment and in the field, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Able to navigate industrial or challenging work environments to access equipment and operational areas.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Able to wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) required for various work locations.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments that may be hot, noisy, dusty, or otherwise physically demanding.
- Available to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours when required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural, and international work environment.
COMPENSATION:
- $80,000 – $130,000 USD/year
