THE OPPORTUNITY:
We’re partnering with a highly respected construction and installation company to find an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the successful execution of complex, large-scale building projects. This is a hands-on site leadership role suited for someone with strong experience in structural installation, site coordination, safety management, scheduling, and workforce supervision. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving project execution, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring efficient day-to-day site operations alongside a collaborative and experienced project team.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Participating in installation planning activities, including site logistics, sequencing, crane coordination, equipment planning, workforce allocation, scheduling, QA planning, and overall site execution requirements.
- Providing on-site coordination and direction to support the safe and efficient receiving, handling, staging, installation, finishing, and deficiency resolution of materials and components.
- Ensuring all installation activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, quality standards, and required tolerances.
- Attending contractor and project site meetings while ensuring timely completion of required safety documentation, daily reports, timesheets, and project status updates.
- Maintaining compliance with company, contractor, and OH&S safety standards and site requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyperson carpentry certification combined with experience in heavy timber or large-scale structural installations.
- 10+ years of construction project experience, including at least 5 years in a site supervision or superintendent-level capacity for superintendent roles.
- Experience supporting or leading the installation of multi-storey building projects.
- Strong understanding of crane coordination, positioning, and efficient site utilization practices.
- Proven resource management, planning, scheduling, and time management abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities with a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across site teams and stakeholders.
COMPENSATION:
- $120,000 to $140,000/year
