Willingness to work day and evening shifts (6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m., Monday to Friday), with occasional weekend work as required.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client is seeking a Millwright to join their team and play a key role in supporting the reliability and performance of their manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Department Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting controls and mechanical systems, and supporting administrative processes related to the maintenance department. Working closely with employees across multiple departments, the Millwright helps ensure the plant’s mechanical infrastructure is properly maintained, optimized, and operating efficiently to maximize production uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and servicing of production facilities.
- Inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic system components.
- Installing complementary manufacturing equipment.
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance activities on mechanical system components to minimize downtime.
- Participating in reconstruction measures and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
- Collaborating with team members and providing support across departments as required to meet operational objectives.
- Adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and established work practices.
- Completing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business and operational needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Mechanic, or in a related industrial maintenance role is preferred.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, reliability, and a strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions while taking direction from supervisors.
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently and adapt to established procedures, policies, and operational standards.
- Flexible and willing to work varying schedules, including shift work, overtime, and extended hours as required.
- Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the role, including standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequently lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and varying conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and humid environments.
COMPENSATION:
- $25 – $29 USD/hour based on experience
