THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our client’s well-established full-service multi-discipline engineering firm. In this role, you will play a key part in structural design and calculations, preparing drawings, and providing construction services to support a diverse range of projects.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Performing structural analysis and design for municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including work on existing buildings and structures.
  • Completing structural calculations and preparing or editing structural specifications.
  • Reviewing engineering designs to ensure compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications, and providing technical support to designers and drafters.
  • Preparing reports and other technical documentation required by clients.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Supporting senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis and design tasks.
  • Providing general project management and coordination services.
  • Coordinating with technical staff in preparing contract drawings, documents, and other project deliverables.
  • Coordinating structural designs and documentation with other disciplines such as Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Landscaping.
  • Providing structural engineering support during construction, attending site meetings, and carrying out field reviews.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered as a P.Eng. or as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • At least 5 to 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and works well in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION:

  • $70,000 – $120,000, annually.
